Fine Art & Paintings

Before the saw, there was a brush.

A lifetime of painting, composition, and material mastery is what gives my carvings their realism, depth, and life.

The Foundation

My background in fine art started early. I took my first art class at five years old and never really stopped. Most of what I know has been self-taught—driven by curiosity, repetition, and a refusal to cut corners.

In my early years, I walked into a high-end gallery in Huntington Beach with an acrylic painting of a crashing wave over coastal rocks. I asked $400 for it—an amount that felt huge at the time. The owners looked at each other, smiled, and told me to leave it and see how it was received.

It sold in four days.

From there, I consistently produced and sold work through the gallery, building confidence and momentum as a working artist.

Later, I was recruited by Lucky Brand Jeans to create large-scale artwork, distressed murals, painted installations, and custom graphics for new retail locations across the country. I traveled city to city, helping shape the visual identity of over 30 stores.

That foundation still drives everything I do today.

Every piece is custom—designed to fit the space, the subject, and the intent behind it.

Many clients choose to pair painted and carved elements together for a unified look across their home or property.

Approach

My work leans heavily toward realism, but I’m not confined by it. I can move between impressionistic, stylized, and highly detailed work depending on what best serves the piece.

What stays consistent is the foundation:

  • Strong composition
  • Attention to detail
  • A deep understanding of materials

The same principles that define my carvings apply here—the details are sacred.
