Residing on the glorious Mount Hood is artist Johnny Kimball. Here, he combines his passion for Oregon trees with his artistic skill to turn any section of tree into a custom showpiece.

He grew up on the beaches in Surf City, California. After returning home from his first vacation to Oregon, he immediately quit his corporate job and returned to the woodland beauty of Mount Hood. Here, he found a sense of community and the lifestyle he enjoys. From the first stump he carved, he was hooked. The endless images of Sasquatches around challenged Johnny to do something slightly different and at least give the statue the nicest derrière possible. These distinctive characters grabbed the attention of the local community and led to several more orders. He integrates two-dimensional art known from his early career with his skills developed later as a master carpenter with logger art.

When he’s not creating art, he can be found enjoying the surrounding woods with the company mascot Hanz, and caring for his dear mother, Barbara Rose. She's the brains behind the business slogan,

"YOUR HOME SHOULD SAY SOMETHING ABOUT YOU."
