Chainsaws, chisels, burrs, bits, and blades…not your average carver. I gravitate towards realism and extremely detailed where it counts. Quality finishes for art that will last especially outdoors in the Pacific Northwest climate!

My services are numerous, if you don’t see what you’re thinking just ask. Challenges are encouraged as I draw from 35 years of fine art, design, construction, historical restoration, log structures and more.

Stump Carving
It all begins with an idea. Sometimes it’s necessary to top or cut down a beautiful tree, healthy or not. Consider telling your tree service or PGE to leave several feet at the base for me to transform into art. I enjoy on-site work and a stump carving can really transform an area. Maybe you need a way to set your short term rental apart from the rest. It really does wonders and I have the references to prove it.

Relief Carving
Creating depth on a flat piece of wood has endless applications. Staircase and railing panels, custom doors, furniture accents, wall hangers, mantles, signage and more. Handmade with love and always custom designs, feel the difference a well guided chisel a clinical CNC machine can’t mimic.

Studio Pieces
Any size and whatever subject you desire. I do sketches until you approve it and then I make mountains of sawdust and shavings. I can sometimes deliver myself if your within range or most everything can be shipped to your doorstep.

‘Pet portraits’
I started selling my paintings professionally in Southern California galleries at 13 years old. While I still paint and accept commissions for oil paintings the skill set is critical to nailing a likeness. Many artist can carve you a dog, but I can make it look like YOUR dog. I use different stains and painted accents to get any animals unique markings correct. I really like creating a meaningful carving of a specific creature that is important to you. My dog Hanz is most always with me, I love animals dearly. I can carve a fish the same exact size as your best catch from a photo or maybe a deers head to display some awesome antlers for display. Taxidermy alternative perhaps…
